[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]One of the things I do every Sunday is update my planner for the next week with the blog posts/newsletters I need to send out as well as begin to update my “to do list”, which I use the Windows 10 sticky note app. In this way, I can plan my days, but also I can make sure I don’t miss anything important like sending out author newsletters or blog post days. One of the questions I often get asked is how do I do everything that I do on a daily/weekly/monthly basis? I plan.

Success doesn’t happen spontaneously. Even if some sheer moment of luck or opportunity happens, usually there was planning or preparation to get into that place. At the very least, systemic supports like family or job helped you get there. So it’s important that we plan.

And yet, I think people either go overboard (I know I used to) planning things down to the last second or they get scared about planning and don’t. I think planning needs to happen organically, in a way that works with your strengths. Personally, I live and die by my to do lists. It’s how I remember things and keep my life on order. I need them. Others may need more mind maps or constellations of things to do, rather than a direct 1-2-3 list.

Planning takes experimentation and don’t be afraid to see what works for you. If you don’t plan currently, just jot down three to five things you want to accomplish this week. See if that helps you. If you do plan, think about how well your system is working for you. Can it be tweaked?

Planning helps you to move forward and keeps you on track. Don’t be afraid to plan. Use it like a superpower, to help boost you to where you want to be.[/vc_column_text][vc_zigzag color=”orange” el_width=”70″][vc_column_text]Subscribe to our newsletter and receive our free gift, Social Media Header Magic.
